We offer complimentary prenatal consults, well child care, and daycare, school, sports and camp physicals. We also offer same day "sick visits." We begin scheduling for routine well child care as early as 8:10 AM to accommodate working parents. By offering early morning check-ups, working parents can drop children off at day care before the work day begins. We hope this convenience will allow working parents to limit taking vacation time for checkup time.
For routine check-ups, we aim to take time to answer your questions, while ensuring that we cover the relevant points for each age specific visit. General discussion will include diet, voiding and stooling issues, development, exercise, behavior and sleep habits, as well as safety and anticipatory guidance. Particular attention to problems identified can provide the strong foundation for the creation of the team of parent and doctor as we advocate together for the healthy growth and development of your child. A good examination allows the physician a thorough assessment of all physical findings and can offer reassurance for any concerns you may have discovered. We want to ensure that parents leave with the information necessary to empower them to feel confident about the skills necessary for daily child care as well as the health-related decision-making involving their children.
When you call with a sick child, you will be given an appointment for the same day. Obviously, we cannot predict every situation or plan for the complexity of each case when scheduling; therefore, we acknowledge that we will be delayed unexpectedly at times. We will make every effort to inform you of such circumstances. Your understanding during these times is appreciated.
